Recycling is a great way to do your bit to keep the world turning in the right direction. Linear Consumption is something most of us do and don’t realise it. We use and don’t reuse, putting pressure on our finite resources every day. By creating a circle of reuse we can prolong the life of the materials we would normally throw out.
By recycling you decrease the impact you have on our environment and increase the potential we have to ensure we live longer and happier lives by reducing the negative effects we have as consumers.
When we recycle we conserve the precious resources we have, and there are none more precious than the air we breathe and the water we drink. By recycling we reduce the high levels of air and water pollution that are a direct result of primary industry.
The energy needed to create new products is also saved when we recycle. It takes considerably less energy to produce goods from recycled products than from raw materials.
Landfill sites can also be reduced in size by reusing and recycling materials that in the past would have been thrown out with general household waste.
